"Rush of Red"

This is another one of my red paintings. I seems I always go back to "red." Enjoy.

"High Surf"

22 x 22 including white double mat

Image size: 13 x 13 inches

Painted on watercolor board

This is one of my "water inspired" paintings. It stared out as a mixed media "pour" but quickly turned into a different subject since the pour did not materialize for me.

I also used 3 different techniques. One was the pour, followed by manipulating that paint. I was trying to create a more organic feel to the water. Then, came the brushwork and knife work for the rocks. This was particularly fun as I did not know what shapes would emerge.

This past spring, when I drove past this site, I knew that I had to paint it. I love the strong yellows of the wild mustard seed plant. This is truly one of nature's best gardens.

Enjoy!
"Fermented Grapes"

12 x 14, including white double mat

Acrylic on watercolor board

Image size: 8 x 10

This is #4 from my series of wine bottles and vineyards. This is the perfect gift for the wine lover.

I love this quote from Julia Childs.

"Wine is a living liquid containing no preservatives. Its life cycle comprises youth, maturity, old age, and death. When not treated with reasonable respect it will sicken and die."
Julia Child

Enjoy.

"The health benefits come from moderate wine consumption, defined by the American Heart Association as one to two four-ounce glasses a day. The Evidence: Wine drinkers have a 34 percent lower mortality rate than beer or spirits drinkers."

"Daisy Sprig"

11 x 14 oil on panel

"(S)he loves me, (s)he loves me not." Who among us hasn't plucked the petals of a daisy saying those words with each tug? -Each of us hoping the last petal reveals: Yes! S(he) loves me! I certainly did as a child, and there's our primary theme of the symbolic meaning of daisy - childhood, innocence, purity. Credit to: internet source wys.com)

BONUS: This size of panel will fit a ready made frame, saving you the cost of custom framing.
